week 1 — mingle

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
The first thing that echos in your mind is a sharp tick. It repeats— a rhythm that is neither comforting or ominous. Despite your lack of vision, your other senses seem to flourish. The ticking echos in your ears, the fragrant smell of flowers and wet grass fill your nostrils, and strangely — the taste of tea overflows your taste buds. You consciousness moves in and out, fading until you lose track of time.
Sometime later, you feel the heaviness of your eyes finally lighten, your vision blurry and adjusting to a bright light. Before you know it, you'll find yourself groggy and weak — limbs failing to function in the way you want them to. Attempting to lift your left hand could lift your right leg, tickle your nose, or raise the hair on the back of your neck. However, unlike before — you can now see.
Seated in rows, you'll find 24 strangers around you. All of you seated and facing the front of a small room. There seems to be a glass coffin and a rather... disturbing creature resting inside. It looks to be around a 4 foot tall rabbit, its body adorned in clothes despite the morbid way half of its limbs are ripped from its body. The creature has one ear ripped off and blood soaked into the white cushion of the glass casket. Flowers adorn everyone's head in a cute flower crown, matching the decorations of the room. Much to your surprise, you find your vision a little hazy — as if something is obscuring. Upon reaching up, you realize there is a mask latched to your features. Try as you might, it does not budge. Even as the skin threatens to rip from your face, it is secure.
Behind the casket pacing about is a smaller, fluffier white anthropomorphic rabbit. A tiny coat covers its body, in its hand is an old pocket watch. When it sees the crowd beginning to awaken, he turns and addresses the crowd with a panicked croak of his voice.
The more you look around, you'll see the moderately sized room you're seated in is akin to a funeral home's main hall. There are flowery decoration and outlandish decor, but the rows of seating partner nicely with a small buffet table and painting of the creature torn apart in the glass casket.
After a small minute, you have the chance to stand — wobbly, but still strong. Feel free to explore!
Welcome to the Intro log! Characters will awaken with their first direct interaction with the NPC. They will be in the Tea Room. The exit will be locked until Monday, October 9th (although ICly, it will only be a few hours for them). The IC:OOC ratio will return to normal with a top-level announcement scheduled for Monday at Noon. The Tea Room has been updated to provide more areas to mingle!
