week 1 — investigation

The ticking of the grandfather clocks in each house draws louder and louder — soon, the ticking turns into a defining gong. Characters are stricken from their beds with the noise, allowing them to venture out.

Despite the frantic nature of getting out of their homes, upon exit out into the Abode, they'll see something unlike their arrival — the celebration seems to be over. Ribbons and streamers ripped from the lamposts, oversized candies were pushed into the river, wrapped presents were smashed and torn astray.

It looks like someone was not having a good unbirthday?

THE GREENHOUSE — 1 PLEASE

[ please don't let a plant eat him :V ]

[ As he ventures forward, he will see the same scene as always: a large expansive area of blossoming full-faced flowers. Through the twisting rows of growing plants, he'll see something oddly not vibrant green. Investigate? ]

[ Well, we're not here to stop and smell the flowers... that would be a little awkward with the faces. So yes, he'll investigate, approaching the not-green thing with careful steps. ]

[ He'll find a giant aloe plant, it's face long since still and unmoving. Its dead eyes looking up to the ceiling. What's odd about this plant is while the others are living and vibrant, this is dull and slowly decaying. Upon investigation, one of the leaves of the aloe plant looks ripped off. ]

[ Christ that's creepy. ALSO WHAT THE HELL, THE ALOE DID NOTHING WRONG- Okay. He's never seen the plant before, but since it's an aloe, there's that gel-like stuff inside those leaves that make them chubby instead of flat like, a leaf-leaf, yeah? It's odd for a plant to die with one leaf taken, too, so he'll investigate more closely.

Regardless of what comes of that, another thing! He's a gardener himself, and since it's good as dead... Dying, even. He's taking a leaf too. For reference! ]

[ Yup! There's nothing else there — a puddle of aloe drips from the leaf onto the floor.

Kind of like.

It bled out.

He is allowed to have a spare oversized leaf, it's kinda big, but?

[ Wow I was kidding about the plant murder! Oh well, it's at least not... a human body.

Here lies Al O'Vera, it leaves behind its good succulent friends that were like a family to it.

ALSO HOORAY, AN OVERSIZED LEAF. Now we have makeshift burn ointment for when Kira, Akira, and or Mejojo are at it again with potential backhands :D ]
