week 1 — investigation

The ticking of the grandfather clocks in each house draws louder and louder — soon, the ticking turns into a defining gong. Characters are stricken from their beds with the noise, allowing them to venture out.

Despite the frantic nature of getting out of their homes, upon exit out into the Abode, they'll see something unlike their arrival — the celebration seems to be over. Ribbons and streamers ripped from the lamposts, oversized candies were pushed into the river, wrapped presents were smashed and torn astray.

It looks like someone was not having a good unbirthday?

[He has weird feelings about this place already, why not add to them.]

[ The first thing he can see is the splatter of blood leading from or two the Hunter's Rest. He spots this trail a few feet away before even venturing into the door. ]

[Oh, well, jeez, that's not good . . . how much blood are we talking about? A few scattered marks, or a lot?]

[mcmurderer]

[ It starts as a thin trail closer to the door, a steady assortment of heavy drops before fading the further it gets towards the Red Queen's Timeshare. ]

Aw, Christ . . .

[What a mess. Are they dry, or still wet?]

[mcmurderer]

[ Drying. Only the thicker pools are still wet. ]

[Gotcha. He steps carefully around them, heading towards the door proper. Is it worth it to head in?]

[mcmurderer]

[ It is not! There is a few stray drops of blood in the building, but for the most part, it's not noteworthy. Everything will be behind a locked door the character has no access to. ]

[Well that's just rude, lodge, let Polnareff go where he wants. Anything else he ought to check out?]
