week 1 — investigation

The ticking of the grandfather clocks in each house draws louder and louder — soon, the ticking turns into a defining gong. Characters are stricken from their beds with the noise, allowing them to venture out.

Despite the frantic nature of getting out of their homes, upon exit out into the Abode, they'll see something unlike their arrival — the celebration seems to be over. Ribbons and streamers ripped from the lamposts, oversized candies were pushed into the river, wrapped presents were smashed and torn astray.

It looks like someone was not having a good unbirthday?

[ He sort of just, clicks his tongue in a very dissatisfied way. The smile leaving his face.

What a waste of a perfectly good cake?

And then he's just gonna dig his hands into the cake and shovel through it, looking about as stone faced as it gets.

[ He will find the head of Akira planted on the cherry glazed silver platter. His hair matted with icing and cake , one of his eyes remain missing but his glasses are still solid in the cake's frosting. ]

[ It's not the most gruesome thing he's ever witnessed but, jeez.. he was just a kid.

He's going to poke around a little because he's a cop and this is what he does but?? Is there anything else worth finding?? ]

[ The cut at his neck is clean — no signs of struggle or doubt. It was a deliberate beheading. He will notice a large brunt wound on the side of his head, not a cut or slice. ]

[ He's making note of all of this, and he's also thinking about how that cake didn't even taste funny to him smh.
